A boil water order has been issued for 13 customers in Baxter County.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order has been issued for the Brunner Hill Water Association and affects approximately 13 customers on Hopewell Hollow Road, west of Highway 177. The order was issued Wednesday morning due to a main break from a lightning strike.
A boil water order remains in effect for the entirety of the Lake Norfork Mountain Lodge system. The order was issued March 22 due to inadequate disinfectant levels.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.
All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
