
The Mountain Home High School softball teams had a rough outing Wednesday as they were swept in a makeup doubleheader by Van Buren.
The Lady Bombers lost the opener to the Lady Pointers 11-0 in six innings. Katie Camp went 1-for-1 at the plate, drew a base on balls and was hit by a pitch; Emma King was also 1-for-1; Karleigh Drewry went 1-for-2; and Kiley Horne was 1-for-3.
The late game needed eight innings to complete, but Mountain Home ended up falling to van Buren 9-6. Mallorie Drewry led the Lady Bombers by going 3-for-4 with an RBI, Emma Crabb went 2-for-3 and drove in a run, Olivia Crabb was 2-for-5 with an RBI, Horne went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt, and Camp and Karleigh Drewry were each 1-for-4 at the plate.
Mountain Home drops to 7-8 on the season and 2-4 in the 5A-West.
