An Izard County man has been arrested on 55 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Forty-year-old Terry Johnson of Horseshoe Bend is being held in the Izard County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Verizon flagged Johnson’s phone number after he allegedly uploaded images containing child sexual abuse material. The incident was reported to the National Center for MIssing and Exploited Children who turned the case over the Izard County law enforcement and the Arkansas State Police.
Records show Johnson had uploaded 55 images between April and June of 2022.
Investigators were able to obtain phone records which showed multiple email addresses Johnson used along with many Google searches for porn and child porn. One Google search was for “how do you make chloroform.” Multiple child porn images were also downloaded to Johnson’s phone.
