
Over the next two weeks, Mountain Home band students will be performing their end of the year concerts for the public.
On Tuesday night, percussionists from the Mountain Home Band will perform the “Night of Percussion” concert at 6:30 in the Dunbar Auditorium. The program will feature selections performed by each grade level from 6th grade through high school, with all ensembles combining for the finale. Ensembles are under the direction of Johnathan Hufford, Director of Percussion Studies.
In addition, the Mountain Home High School Bomber Band will perform their end of the year concert Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at The Sheid on the campus of ASU-Mountain Home. The concert will feature a variety of music and senior musicians on a New Orleans jazz-style rendition of “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” and the senior piccolos on the traditional concert finale, “The Stars & Stripes Forever March.”
On May 9, the Junior High Band perform their end of year concert and on May 11, Pinkston Middle School Bands will perform. Both concerts will being at 7 in Dunbar Auditorium.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
