A Mountain Home High School student has been elected as State FFA Secretary at the 96th Arkansas FFA Convention in April.

Madison Hutson, who serves as the Vice President of the Mountain Home FFA Chapter, was elected by delegates to serve as Secretary at the state level. Each year at the State FFA Convention, six students are elected by delegates to represent the organization as State FFA officers. Delegates elect a president, secretary, reporter and vice presidents representing the southern, eastern and western regions of the state.

State officers commit to a year of service to the State and National FFA Organization. Each travels to interact with business and industry leaders, thousands of FFA members and teachers, corporate sponsors, government and education officials, state FFA leaders, the general public and more. The team will lead personal growth and leadership conferences for FFA members throughout Arkansas and help set policies that will guide the future of FFA and promote agricultural literacy.

Hutson is the daughter of Brad and Cindy Hutson of Mountain Home.
