Local winners in Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program announced

The 76th annual Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program has announced its 2023 County Farm Families of the Year, including the local winners in north central Arkansas. Ashley Wallace is the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year Coordinator and says farms across the state enter each year to try to represent Arkansas on a national level.

Local winners include:

Faraway Vineyard in Gamaliel, owned by Tony & Susan Chamberlain, Steve & Jennifer Ellison and Jordan Ellison.

Philliips Farm in Everton, owned by Terry Phillips.

Lick Creek Cattle in Salem, owned by the Derek & Karen Hall family.

CT Cattle in Melbourne, owned by Toby Smith.

Lowrance Farms in Marshall, owned by Sic & Lea Ann Lowrance.

Dayton McCarty Farm in Mountain View, owned by the Dayton McCarty family.

Lemon Farm in Lead Hill, owned by Brian and Tammy Lemon and family.

Buckhorn Farms in Deer, owned by Ryan & Cristian Martin.

The farms will be visited by a set of judges to determine eight District Farm Families of the Year, which will be announced June 13. The state Farm Family of the Year will be announced in December.
