A 30-year-old Midway man, who screamed obscenities and fought with deputies at the court complex in both May and July 2021 and had a violent altercation with a former girlfriend in January 2021 has again been denied parole.

Tyler Cole Hutton entered a guilty plea to charges in three active criminal cases in September 2021 and was sentenced to six years in prison. He is serving his sentence at the Grimes Unit of the state prison system in Newport.

Hutton’s most current parole hearing was held April 18 and the decision was announced on Monday.

Charges against Hutton have included 2nd degree battery on a police officer, terroristic threatening, impairing the operation of a vital public facility, disorderly conduct, domestic battering and 3rd degree assault on a family or household member.

ATTACKED WOMAN

In addition to fighting with law enforcement, Hutton also has a string of domestic abuse cases dating back to 2012.

In a case filed in January 2021, Hutton was accused of attacking a woman with whom he is reported to have had an on-again-off-again relationship.

The couple has a child together, according to court records. Hutton was also charged with domestic battery in 2018 stemming from a fight with the same woman.

FIGHTS WITH DEPUTIES

In May and July 2021, Hutton took out his ire on deputies who had brought him to the court complex for scheduled appearances.

In both incidents, Hutton was reported to have been calm until “he just snapped,” according to a deputy with the Baxter County Sheriff’s office.

Hutton began to fight and spew obscenities until he was subdued and returned to jail on both occasions.

In the May incident, according to court records, Hutton first spoke to his attorney in the holding area behind the courtroom.

After the attorney walked away, Hutton was reported to have begun “yelling obscenities and causing a general disturbance,” according to an incident report.

At one point in his tirade, Hutton yelled that he, “does not need to be judged.”

In late July 2021 Hutton was again brought to the court complex for an appearance and began screaming at the Baxter County sheriff’s deputy who serves as the transport officer.

It was alleged that Hutton demanded that the deputy drop the charges brought against him in the first incident.

He became increasingly irate when told his demand could not be met. Hutton challenged the deputy to a fight.

The deputy/transport officer attempted to remove Hutton from the court complex building and get him back in the prisoner van, but Hutton, although shackled, continued to fight and other officers joined in subduing him.
