Two Mountain Home men are facing charges of interference with custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after they assisted a juvenile in an attempt to runaway out of the state.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Mountain Home Police Department took a report of a 16-year-old runaway juvenile. During the investigation, authorities discovered two individuals, identified as 18-year-old Skyler Henson and 19-year-old Gaben Kline, helped facilitate the juveniles plans to run away.
Upon contact with Henson and Kline, they told authorities they drove the juvenile to Ava and rented a hotel room for him. They then brought the juvenile’s car back to Arkansas and left it on the side of the road near Henson’s residence. To further hinder the investigation, Henson and Kline allegedly attempted to clean the vehicle of the juvenile’s fingerprints and disposed of the keys.
The juvenile was later found in Springfield by the Springfield Police Department and returned to the custody of his parents.
Both Henson and Kline were released from the Baxter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
