Mountain Home man cited following altercation with MHPS bus driver

A Mountain Home man, 44-year-old David Matthew Pope, received a citation following an altercation with a Mountain Home Public School bus driver. The incident happened Wednesday afternoon at the bus barn behind Pinkston Middle School.

According to the incident report from the Mountain Home Police Department, the victim told police Pope had become aggressive and head butted him. A mechanic working in the bus barn verified the victim’s account of what happened.

The victim told the officer Pope had sped into the parking lot, demanded to get on the bus and was using obscene language in the presence of children on the bus.

Pope was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassed from the property.
