An armed homeowner found an intruder in his home recently and held the man at gunpoint until Baxter County Deputies arrived. The intruder was arrested and appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday where he pled not guilty to the charges against him.

The homeowner said dogs barking outside woke him just after 12:30 a.m., May 25.

The victim said at one point the intruder opened the door to his bedroom and he challenged the unknown male with a weapon.

He said he ordered the man, later identified as 29-year-old Braydan Anthony Sisk, to leave the house and, once outside, he held Sisk at gunpoint until deputies were on the scene.

Sisk was taken into custody when a deputy arrived at the victim’s residence located along State Highway 5 South and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of residential burglary, criminal trespass and violating his parole.

While waiting on a deputy to arrive, Sisk is alleged to have admitted to the victim that he had also broken into a camper trailer on the property.

At the time the report was written, it was not known if anything had been taken from the camper.

TWO CARS STOLEN FROM TWO COUNTIES IN ONE NIGHT

Sisk has had criminal cases opened on him in the past. He was once charged with stealing two vehicles in two counties in the early morning hours of April 5, 2018.

The first car taken, a black 1995 Pontiac Firebird, was stolen from a residence in the Tracy Ferry Road area. The owner said when dogs started barking, he got up and looked out a window but did not see any suspicious activity. He then heard a car door shut and an engine start.

When he saw his vehicle backing out of his driveway, he told investigators he ran outside. The driver of the car then accelerated, backing onto Baxter County Road 301.

The victim said he ran across the yard and as he was getting near the vehicle, it accelerated forward striking him.

He was thrown by the car and suffered minor injuries. He said he heard the car go down CR 301 and then turn onto State Highway 5 North headed toward Mountain Home.

At about 2 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s office got a call about a vehicle being stolen at a residence along Oakland Road.

Investigators were told by the wife of the owner that a car pulled into the driveway and a male in that vehicle got out and got in a red Dodge Pickup truck belonging to her husband and drove away.

The car that was left behind at the Marion County residence was checked and turned out to be the one stolen in the Tracy Ferry area earlier in the night.

Sisk had apparently run out of gas in the vehicle stolen in Baxter County prompting the theft of the truck in Marion County.

The owner of the truck began chasing his vehicle until a Marion County deputy joined the chase, activated the blue lights on his patrol car and pulled the truck over.

Sisk was initially charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property, breaking or entering and theft of the two vehicles.
