A fall at a recreation area on Greers Ferry Lake led to the death of child Tuesday morning. The unidentified juvenile male had reportedly fallen from a tall bluff at Dam Site Park in Heber Springs.
According to a Facebook post from the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11 to a report of an incident at the park. A family member was reportedly performing CPR on a child appearing to have fallen off a 40-foot bluff.
An air ambulance arrived on the scene to take over medical care and transport the juvenile to an undisclosed hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
