Several boil water orders have been issues in Stone and Newton counties.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, a boil order was issued Sunday for residents in Mountain View Waterworks for customers along Herpel Road and all side roads between Webacres Road and Possum Trot Road due to a water line break. A boil order was also issued for the Pleasant Grove Water System for the St. James East to the end of the system due to a main break.
In Newton County, a boil order was issued for Compton Waterworks for residents in the area of the Compton Tank to the Newton County line.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.
All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
