A Mountain Home woman is accused of stealing money and lottery tickets from a business where she was previously employed. Forty-four-year-old Kathleen Brown is in the Baxter County Detention Center facing felony counts of theft of property and lottery fraud.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Mountain Home Police Department took a report June 29 from a local business. A former employee, identified as Brown, was suspected of stealing money from a cash register on June 16 and 24. Video footage also shows Brown, a parolee with the Arkansas Department of Corrections, allegedly stealing and cashing lottery tickets. The reported total amount of restitution owed is nearly $1,580.
Brown is also facing felony counts of possesion of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $10,000.
