The Mountain Home School Board held its first meeting with Allyson Dewey as its new superintendent, and one of the first orders of business was the election of new officers. Lisa House was selected as the board president, Jason Schmeski is the vice president, and Bill Wehmeyer was named the secretary.

The board dealt with a light agenda, but much of the meeting dealt with the LEARNS Act. Dewey tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot’s Heather Loftis one of the items concerning the act was the approval of a $2,000 addition to the salary scale.
