Two Fulton County residents are facing multiple charges after a juvenile was taken to the hospital for extensive bruising from alleged abuse.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 24th officers with the Cherokee Police Department responded to a call to White River Medical Center after they were notified of injuries to a child consistent with abuse. Upon arrival, they spoke with the mother and the juvenile victim where they observed a laceration to the child’s lower lip and extensive bruising on her body.

During an interview with Crimes Against Children’s Division investigators, the juvenile stated while staying with her dad and stepmother, identified as 28-year-old Tyler Jones and 27-year-old Saibrah Himschoot, Jones would allegedly beat her, causing her to have bruises all over her body. She stated Jones pushed her and slam her head against the wall multiple times.

The juvenile also told investigators Himschoot had hit her in the mouth with a wooden paddle three times. She stated the bruise on her ear was from Himschoot pinching her. She also told investigators Jones laid her down on the floor and placed his foot close to her neck where she could not breathe.

Jones and Himschoot are facing felony charges of domestic battering and aggravated assault on a family or household member and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a minor. They are both currently being held in the Fulton County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
