During Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ Town Hall last Tuesday, Governor Sanders stated $20 million dollars was allocated in the LEARNS Act to supplement salaries for non-certified employees.

Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent Allyson Dewey released a statement regarding the additional funding.

“Foundation funding was raised an additional $205 per student during this legislative session. Of those funds, approximately $44 was suggested to be allocated towards our non-certified employee salaries. Mountain Home Public Schools’ non-certified employees received anywhere from a 1 to 5% raise for the upcoming school year. That raise will cost $298,161. That is $128,761 more than the funding matrix suggested. If you calculate $44 for each student in the state, that equates to the approximately $20 million that the Governor mentioned at her town hall on Tuesday.”
