The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is working alongside Mountain Home Police Department and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office leading up to the Labor Day holiday in support of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” high-visibility enforcement drunk-driving prevention campaign. Law enforcement will be expanding their efforts with zero tolerance for impaired driving. The goal is to save lives during what is usually a dangerous holiday on the nation’s roads.
KTLO, Classic Hits and the Boot’s Bob Van Haaren spoke with the Step Grant Coordinators Corporal Rocky Morrell from the Mountain Home Police Department and Corporal Craig Kocka from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, to discuss some sobering DWI statistics and their current campaign Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over through the NHTSA Grants Program.
