A Missouri man wakeboarding on Table Rock Lake was seriously injured Sunday afternoon after being struck by a boat propeller. Forty-one-year-old Jean Herrera was flown by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South from the scene nearly five miles east of Blue Eye.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Herrera was on his wakeboard waiting to be retrieved by a pontoon driven by 65-year-old Ricky Daugherty of Ozark, Mo. Herrera reportedly fell while attempting to retrieve a rope and was struck by the propeller.
The pontoon had minor damage in the 2 p.m. accident.
