One Izard County man is dead and another injured after a truck they were riding in struck a tree. The Arkansas State Police identified the victim as 72-year-old Larry Young of Sage. Sixty-nine-year-old Donnie Vest of Melbourne was injured and transported to Regional One Health in Memphis.
The report indicates the truck driven by Young ran off the roadway, struck a mailbox and then hit a tree.
The crash happened at 9:14 Monday morning on Arkansas Highway 115 in Lawrence County.
