Big Creek Golf and Country Club is preparing to host another United States Golf Association event next month. On Oct. 18, the Mountain Home golf course will be the site of a qualifier for the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship to be held in the spring.
Big Creek Managing Partner Lang Zimmerman says the four-ball format will feature 50 teams of two players.

Of the 100 golfers set to participate, 68 are coming from 19 other states, one is from England, and another is from India. Zimmerman says the qualifier is a way to show off the course and the Twin Lakes Area, and it’s a boost for the economy.
