A Searcy County woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident Sunday morning. Eighty-four-year-old Carolyn Griffith of Leslie was pronounced dead at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Griffith was traveling on Nubbin Hill Road. Another vehicle, driven by 53-year-old Celina Harbison of Star City and occupied by 59-year-old Deleta Cole of Dry Creek, La., was traveling on U.S. Highway 65 when Griffith’s vehicle pulled into its path. The vehicles collided, and Griffith’s vehicle went into a private parking lot and struck a trailer of another vehicle. Harbison and Cole were injured and also transported to UAMS.
The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 9:43 a.m. accident.
