Mountain Home came away with one win on Monday in Jonesboro as they played Annie Camp for three volleyball matches.
The Junior Lady Bombers lost the varsity match in straight sets as the Lady Whirlwind posted scores of 25-23, 24-26 and 16-14. Annyston Crooker led Mountain Home with 10 kills, four digs, two aces and a block; Aleigh Lucas had eight kills and three blocks; Brytlee Burroughs recorded four kills and four digs; Ava Jones finished with two kills, 12 assists, four digs and four aces; Lydia Miller added a kill and five blocks; Maddie Simmons ended up with 15 digs and two aces; Violet Daugherty had 10 assists and two aces; Bella Conyers recorded six digs; Eliana Pepin finished with four digs and a block; and Miley Epps chipped in four digs. The Junior Lady Bombers fall to 4-8 on the season and 3-3 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
Mountain Home did not fare any better in the junior varsity match. Annie Camp won in straight sets as they topped the Junior J.V. Lady Bombers 25-17 and 25-13.
The evening began with Mountain Home winning the seventh grade match in straight sets with scores of 28-26 and 25-22. The Seventh Grade Lady Bombers improve to 4-6 on the year.
On the high school level, Yellville-Summit had a successful night on the road. The Lady Panthers were able to beat Izard County in straight sets.
Salem needed all five sets, but they were able to get past Rose Bud. The Lady Greyhounds beat the Lady Ramblers 25-15, 23-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 15-10.
Valley Springs also was able to get a road win. The Lady Tigers got past Berryville in a match that went all five sets.
