Authorities are investigating following reports of THC-infused products being brought to the Marshall High School campus by a student. Three students had allegedly consumed cookies containing the substance.
According Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, law enforcement and medical personnel responded Friday to Marshall High School. Authorities discovered a student brought the cookies to the campus from his residence. A person of interest has reportedly been identified and was being interviewed as of Friday.
Sheriff Cassell says his agency is working with Searcy County School District administration as the investigation continues into the isolated incident. Investigators are forwarding a case file to the 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
