Mountain Home was able to sweep three junior high volleyball matches at West Memphis Wonder on Monday.
The Junior Lady Bombers won the varsity match in straight sets as they topped the Lady Lions 25-10 and 25-3. Annyston Crooker led Mountain Home with three kills and three aces; Addy Bellomy added two kills and an ace; Ava Jones had a kill, two assists and two aces; Violet Daugherty recorded 11 aces and three assists; Maddie Simmons finished with three aces and two digs; and Clara Ducker and Bella Conyers each ended up with three aces. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 6-8 on the season and 5-3 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
Mountain Home also took the junior varsity match in straight sets as they beat Wonder 25-8 and 25-3. The Junior J.V. Lady Bombers were led by Fiona Everett with two kills and two aces, Chloe Bohannon chipped in two kills, Audrey Birkhimer had 15 aces, Karly Goes recorded seven aces, and Emery Spears finished with three aces.
The evening began with Mountain Home winning the seventh grade match in straight sets with scores of 25-11 and 25-15. The Seventh Grade Lady Bombers are now 6-9 on the year.
On the high school level, Yellville-Summit picked up a win on the road. Yellville-Summit was able to beat another group of Lady Panthers from Bergman in straight sets.
Salem had a rough night in front of the home crowd. The Lady Greyhounds ended up falling to Highland in four sets.
Marshall’s road trip on Monday ended on a tough note. The Lady Bobcats lost to Conway Christian in straight sets.
