Johnson to be inducted into MH Education Foundation Hall of Honor

Nearly three months after her retirement, a 24-year employee of Mountain Home Public Schools will be one of the newest inductees into the Mountain Home Education Foundation Hall of Honor. Colleen Johnson will receive the Earnest Perry Retired Classified Staff Member Award during Thursday’s Night of Honors.

Johnson began her time in the district as the prinicpal’s secretary at Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School for five years and spent the next five at Mountain Home Junior High School. She finished her career in the administration building as the administrator of student records. Johnson says the her time working for the district was a wonderful experience.

Johnson says she has several memories of her time at Mountain Home, but one thing she treasures is the bonds she shared with her co-workers.

The Mountain Home Education Foundation’s Night of Honors is scheduled for Thursday evening at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
