Multiple law enforcement agencies involved in high-speed pursuit of stolen vehicle Friday

Friday morning, a high-speed chase came through Baxter County before the suspect led authorities into Missouri.

According to the reports, at approximately 11:15 the Mountain Home Police Department started to pursue a stolen vehicle from Missouri with assistance from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police.

Sheriff’s deputies picked up the chase on U.S. Highway 62 west going towards Gassville. The driver went through Gassville, turned North on Arkansas Highway 126 toward Midway, then went North on Arkansas Highway 5 into Ozark County, Mo..  Between Gassville and Midway, the Arkansas State Police engaged the suspect and took over as lead. Top speeds were reported in the 90mph range.

According to KYTV, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office stated the Arkansas State Police were in pursuit of a stolen black trailblazer from Howell County. Once the suspect crossed state lines, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office continued the pursuit before chasing them into Taney County.

The Howell County Sheriff’s Office states the suspect is 32-year-old Adam Bartlett who is accused of stealing a vehicle at a gas station in West Plains on Wednesday.
