A 1986 Mountain Home High School graduate is included in the MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor’s Class of 2023. Lori Beck will be inducted during Saturday’s banquet.
Beck says there is a funny story to how she got the news of her upcoming enshrinement.

Beck, who was born in Cincinnati, moved with her family to Mountain Home at the age of 9. Her senior year at Mountain Home High School included playing on the Lady Bombers’ basketball team when they won the state championship. Beck says winning that title is a moment she’ll always treasure.

Beck went on to play basketball on the collegiate level. She started at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout. She later transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and she says that allowed her to follow in her family’s footsteps of getting into the hospitality business.

The MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor banquet is scheduled for Saturday in the high school cafeteria. The reception starts at noon, and the banquet will begin an hour later.
