On November 3, The International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists along with many Arkansas dentists will host the second annual Arkansas Operation Stand Down which provides dental treatment to Veterans at various dental clinic locations around the state of Arkansas.

Treatment includes acute and urgent pain relief, extractions, restorative work, x-rays, prophylaxis, routine maintenance and perio treatment. Veterans must present a DD214 for verification purposes to receive treatment. Appointment times are first come, first serve and will be assigned through coordinated effort of Veteran’s Affairs and each regional site clinic.

Clinic locations include Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Arkadelphia and Pine Bluff.

Operation Stand Down originated through the efforts of Fellow Dr. Daniel Fridh. He noticed a trend of neglected mouths among his ex-military patients and knew something had to change. Dr. Fridh served in the Air Force for three years and understood what military men and women went through. In 2012, Dr. Fridh helped launch Operation Stand Down. This program was designed to offer veterans a free dental examination and free or reduced follow-up services.
