The Mountain Home High School volleyball team was able to wrap up its season on a winning note. The Lady Bombers won their Senior Night match in straight sets on Thursday as they topped Alma 25-16, 25-17 and 25-23.
Yellville-Summit was able to finish the 2A-North District Tournament in third place at Quitman. The match needed all five sets, but the Lady Panthers got past Marshall 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 22-25 and 15-13.
Two area teams competed on the final day of the 3A-Northwest District Tournament at Dover.
Salem ended up in fourth place in the tournament. The Lady Greyhounds fell in four sets as the host Lady Pirates posted scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-13 and 25-19.
Valley Springs finished as the runner-up. The Lady Tigers lost in straight sets as top-seeded Harding Academy posted scores of 25-8, 26-24 and 25-16.
Bakersfield won its opener in the Class 1, District 7 Tournament at Winona. The Lady Lions beat Koshkonong in straight sets with scores of 25-12, 25-6 and 25-17. Bakersfield will face Eminence Saturday in the semifinals.
Forsyth was victorious in the semifinals of the Class 3, District 11 Tournament at Mountain Grove. The Lady Panthers topped Willow Springs in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-20.
Elsewhere, Harrison finished its regular season with a straight set victory on the road. The Lady Goblins beat Siloam Springs 25-18, 25-20 and 25-13.
