A Missouri man has been arrested for his involvement in the theft of a bulldozer and trailer in Izard County and the subsequent totaling of the trailer in a vehicle crash. The warrant for 30-year-old Jonathan Wayne Lynn Marshfield, formerly of Calico Rock, was issued last week. He is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail in Buffalo.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim reported Lynn was a former employee and was the only other person who knew where the bulldozer was parked as it was not visible from the road and Lynn had helped move it where it was last seen.

Two weeks after the theft report was taken, the Izard County Sheriff’s Office received information from an investigator with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) who was investigating the theft of equipment involving Lynn. A few days later, the investigator found the trailer which had been totaled in a vehicle accident.

A detective with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office found the bulldozer at a house in that county. The occupants told law enforcement Lynn had brought it there because “people were trying to steal things” from him.

Lynn is facing two counts of theft of property for the Izard County case and a hold has been placed on him once Missouri authorities are finished with their cases against him.
