A former Baxter County Deputy Sheriff has announced his candidacy for the Baxter County Quorum Court. Ezra Roberts is running for JP from District 11 in the March Republican Primary.
Roberts says he has been a public servant for many years and wants to continue to serve his neighbors.

Roberts spent a number of years with the sheriff’s office along with a few other jobs.

Roberts is a fourth generation Baxter County resident and has lived in the Buford area his entire life. He is a graduate of Mountain Home High School and served in the military. He and his wife Jane have been married 55 years. They have two children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is running for the seat currently held by Ty Chapman who is not seeking reelection.
