National Weather Service says upcoming winter should have above average precipitation

While it should be a while before Twin Lakes Area citizens have to worry about snow, it is something that could be more worrisome than usual for the upcoming winter. Recently, KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot ran a news story with information about how persimmons and the Farmer’s Almanac are both predicting a snowy winter season.

The National Weather Service, although not specifically saying snow, is predicting we will likely see above average precipitation according to Meteorologist Christopher Buonanno in North Little Rock.

Buonanno says temperatures should be near normal and we should not expect big temperature swings due to El Nino.

The Twin Lakes Area averages 7.7 inches of snow from December through March each year.
