The Greenwood High School football team will be adding its 11th state championship to its trophy case. The Bulldogs beat Little Rock Christian 41-23 in the Class 6A title game Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
Greenwood quarterback Kane Archer won the most valuable player honor after completing 22 passes out of 29 attempts for 187 yards and two touchdowns, and he also had 16 carries for 95 yards and two additional scores. Brayedan Davis ran the ball 29 times for 156 yards and a touchdown.
For Christian, Walker White was 25-of-49 through the air for 355 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Cade Bowman had 10 catches for 155 yards and a touchdown, and Tristen Watson finished with 10 receptions for 131 yards and another score.
The Bulldogs finish the year at 13-0. The Warriors end up 10-3.
