The final weekend of Arkansas high school football state championships began with Booneville taking the Class 3A crown on Saturday. The Bearcats got past Prescott by a final of 25-22.
Booneville running back Dax Goff was the game’s most valuable player with 31 carries for 245 yards and three touchdowns, and Rylen Ray ran the ball 23 times for 95 yards. For Prescott, JahNoah Harris had 13 rushes for 86 yards and a touchdown, Pierce Yates was 6-of-13 through the air for 68 yards and an interception, and Dwayne White had five catches for 56 yards.
The Bearcats and Curley Wolves both finish the season at 13-2.
