Arkansas to install wrong-way driver detection systems

The state is spending $55 million to install technology designed to alert both the driver and first responders when a motorist goes the wrong way down an exit ramp.

The 161 wrong-way driver detection systems will be set up from Little Rock to West Memphis starting in the spring and are expected to be completed by mid-2025.
