Former Baxter County Detention Center inmate accused of cutting jailer’s finger during fight

A Fulton County woman already accused of terroristic threatening is facing additional charges after cut a jailer’s finger while she was an inmate in the Baxter County Detention Center. Forty-seven-year-old Shannon Robertson is facing charges of second-degree battery on a police officer and impairing the operations of a vital public facility.

According to an incident report, a Baxter County deputy was notified Dec. 21 a jailer had been injured in a fight with an inmate during the booking process. The jailer accused Robertson of cutting her finger with a fingernail. Robertson had also allegedly made threats toward the jail staff. The jailer later went to the emergency room to have her wound treated.

Robertson was released the next day after posting a bond of $10,505.
