Searcy County man killed, Hot Spring County man hurt in 2-vehicle crash near Yellville

A Searcy County man was killed, and a Hot Spring County man was injured in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday morning in Marion County. Thirty-nine-year-old Nelson Honeycutt of Cozahome was pronounced dead, and 67-year-old Frederick Ridge of Malvern was transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Honeycutt was traveling on U.S. Highway 62/412. He was just east of Yellville when his vehicle reportedly crossed the center lane dividing line and struck the front of the vehicle driven by Ridge in the opposite direction.

The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 11:50 a.m. accident.
