The Twin Lakes Area ended up with mixed precipitation on Friday. The snow was measurable in some areas more than in others.
At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, there was a moderate snowfall, but it wasn’t able to stick to the ground to come away with a measurement. The mixture of snowfall and rain resulted of 4/10 of an inch in the precipitation gauge at the studios.
Lakeway was one of the areas where snow was able to be measured. Weather watcher Judy Young reported an inch of winter precipitation mixed in with a little rain. Another weather watcher, Gary Smith near Lakeview, was able to measure a half-inch of mixed precipitation, and it melted down to .26 of an inch in his gauge.
Southern Missouri is under a winter weather advisory until 8 Saturday morning.
