Director of the Marion County Library, Dana Scott, has served in her role for nearly seven years and has been a librarian for 17 years. The Marion County Library Board of Trustees approved for Scott to receive a merit pay raise, but for the third year in a row, the Marion County Quorum Court amended the library budget to deny the recommended raise.

Scott spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News to discuss how the library receives the funds and how her salary is paid out.
