Following Sunday’s wintry mix, there is snow on the area roadways. Crews are working to get roads cleared as soon as possible, and since the snow was drier than most, a lot of progress has been made.
Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot’s Heather Loftis street department crews have been out since around 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

Baxter County has its second group of road and bridge department crews out Monday morning. Baxter County Judge Kevin Litty says overall, the roads are not in too bad of shape.

Marion County Judge Jason Stumph said there were nearly 4 1/2 inches of snow in their area since Sunday, and crews started working early Monday morning.

According to IDriveArkansas.com, most of the main highways in north central Arkansas are covered with snow.
The Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map shows Missouri Highway 5 is partly covered from the state line to Wasola and fully covered further north. U.S. Highway 160 is partly covered from Gainesville to an area just west of the Ozark/Howell county line and fully covered further east. Most of the highways in Howell County are fully covered, but Missouri Highway 17 is partly covered from the state line to West Plains.
