No injuries reported after vehicle catches fire near MH

No injuries were reported from a recent vehicle fire near Mountain Home. The fire reportedly came from the vehicle’s engine compartment.

According to the incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle’s owner said he arrived at his residence just west of Mountain Home on Panoramic Drive on the afternoon of Jan. 13. A short time later, his daughter reportedly heard a pop coming from the vehicle, and it was on fire inside the engine compartment. The owner was able to extinguish the blaze.

The report states there was a “considerable” amount of damage to the engine and the compartment.
