Another round of precipitation is bringing the potential for ice to the Twin Lakes Area. North central Arkansas is under a wind chill advisory until 9 Sunday morning. A winter weather advisory will begin at 10 Sunday evening for north central Arkansas and at midnight for southern Missouri, and both are set to expire at 3 Monday afternoon.

Meteorologist Jeff Hood of the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says the colder air will remain in place for at least another day, and it won’t leave the area before another storm system rolls through.

Hood says he doesn’t expect enough ice, wind and cold air to cause widespread issues with trees or power lines, but being on the roads could be an issue.
