The Viola School District is continuing its search for a new superintendent. A series of special school board meetings has been set to interview applicants for the position following the recent announcement that the board voted not to renew the contract of John May.

The first interview will be with current Conway Christian School teacher and coach Dr. Robert Walton Davis Sunday evening. Dr. Davis is a former superintendent at the Hector and Perryville school districts.

Chad Jordan will be the next applicant interviewed by the board Monday evening. Jordan is an assistant superintendent at Greene County Tech School District in Paragould.

Chad Arnhart will talk to the board Tuesday evening. Arnhart, currently employed at Izard County High School, is a previous administrator in northwest Arkansas.

Mountain Home Junior High School Principal Kyle McCarn is currently the last applicant scheduled for an interview. McCarn will speak with the board Friday evening.

Each special board meeting is scheduled to begin at 5.
