Mountain Home’s junior high basketball teams where on the road to Jonesboro Monday evening and were swept by Douglas MacArthur. Final score for the junior varsity girls was 12-15. It was close for the 9th grade bomber boys but MacArthur took the win 33-32. Leading in scoring for Mountain Home was Gus Wilber with 9 and Koen Bickford putting up 8. The varsity girls team faced off with a final score 37-13 with the Jonesboro team seeing the final victory.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Timbo defeated host Norfork 53-48. Yellville- Summit varsity girls had a successful road trip to Jasper with the Panthers beating the Pirates 62-46. The Shirley Blue Devils caused an upset at Calico Rock’s Senior Night defeating the Pirates 72-60. In Boone County the Harrison Goblins had mixed results hosting Greenbrier. The Lady Panthers took the first victory 53-50 but then the Goblin boys took the win in their game 54-38.
