Two boil water orders issued; community of Big Flat and South Mtn. Water Association in Searcy Co.

Two boil water orders have been issued in the Twin Lakes Area.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, a boil water order has been issued by Big Flat Waterworks in Baxter county for the entire system due to a chlorinator malfunction.

In addition, a boil water order has been issued for the South Mountain Water Association in Searcy county in the areas of South Mountain Road, Nubbin Hill Rd., Wild Wood Rd., the lower part of Crossing Roads, Prism Rd. and Foot Hill Rd.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for ice making.
