The public health crisis caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic has hurt many local non profit organizations as volunteer numbers have struggled to recover. Kindness Inc., a local non profit, is struggling to continue to offer its services due to a drastic drop in volunteerism. Many local residents rely on Kindness Inc. to remain independent in their homes by utilizing their door-to-door services that include medical appointment transportation, prescription pickup, or picking up groceries.

Debbie Womack, Executive Director of Kindness Inc., a recent guest on KTLO’s Talk of the Town discussed how they have seen an over 65 percent drop in volunteer participation since the pandemic.
