A West Plains man was seriously injured following a two vehicle crash in Webster county early Monday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 50-year-old John E. Stiner Jr. of West Plains.
According to the incident report, the driver of vehicle one, 50-year-old Brian Thompson of Springfield, lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions, causing him to travel off the left side of the roadway and strike Stiner’s vehicle head-on.
The crash occurred on US Highway 60 in Fordland, Mo.
Stiner sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to CoxHealth South in Springfield.
