It was a big night for Mammoth Springs high school basketball Wednesday evening as they claimed the championship in the Thayer Winter Classic. The Lady Bears defeated the host Lady Bobcats with a final score of 67-35. Brynn Washam led in scoring with 23 points followed by Tay Davis with 16. Molly Corbett and Laney Young contributed 12 and 11 points respectively.
Elsewhere, Norfork hosted Calico Rock and sent the Pirates away unsuccessful. The Panthers saw a final score of 68-56. It was a good nigh for Viola’s girls as they travelled to Shirly and took the win 29-28.
