Friday basketball results include MHCA boys losing to Timbo

The Mountain Home Christian Academy boys came up just short on their home court on Friday. The Eagles were edged out by Timbo 51-49.

The Cotter High School basketball teams were able to sweep Eureka Springs. The Lady Warriors won the 2A-1 conference title as they pounded the Lady Highlanders 49-14. Cotter also doubled up Eureka Springs in the boys’ game 54-27.

Norfork’s boys had a rough night on their home floor. The Panthers fell to Concord by a final of 69-39.

Flippin’s girls were able to come away with a win on the road. The Lady Bobcats got past Lincoln 58-54.

The Yellville-Summit boys had a dominating road victory. The Panthers pounded Haas Hall-Rogers 77-42.

Viola was able to sweep its high school games at home over Alpena. The Longhorns topped the Leopards in the boys’ game 52-35. Viola also took the girls’ contest 54-37.

Calico Rock’s boys had a tough road trip to Providence. The Pirates suffered a 65-39 defeat at the hands of White County Central.

Salem had mixed results as they hosted Cave City. The Lady Greyhounds beat up on the Cavewomen 58-26. Salem had a differen result in the boys’ game as they were edged out by Cave City 59-57.

Izard County ended up getting swept at Marshall. The Lady Cougars lost to the Lady Bobcats 65-49. Izard County also fell to Marshall in the boys’ contest 84-56.

Melbourne was able to come away with a sweep at Newport. The Lady Bearkatz breezed past the Lady Greyhounds 57-34. Melbourne also won the boys’ game 68-47.

The Mountain View girls were able to notch another win on the road. The Lady Yellowjackets defeated Walnut Ridge by a score of 47-37.

Lead Hill’s boys went on the road and suffered a 47-38 win to another group of Tigers from Green Forest. Nolan Hill was Lead Hill’s top scorer with 14 points, and Kaden Baker grabbed 12 rebounds.

Bergman swept its high school games at home over West Fork. The Lady Panthers destroyed the Lady Tigers 69-14. Bergman also took the boys’ game over West Fork 57-50.

Valley Springs split its high school games at West Fork. The Lady Tigers topped the Lady Elks 58-48. Valley Springs was not as fortunate in the boys’ contest as they lost to West Fork 58-52.

Omaha had mixed results in home games with Shirley. The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Blue Devils 62-43. Omaha’s boys lost a high-scoring game to Shirley 94-88.

Ozark Mountain split a pair of high school games at Greenland. The Lady Bears topped the Lady Pirates 47-36. Ozark Mountain didn’t fare as well in the boys’ contest 48-40.
