Saturday basketball results include MH winning 1 of 3 junior high games with Annie Camp

Mountain Home wrapped up its regular season for junior high basketball on Saturday as Annie Camp came in from Jonesboro for three games.
The varsity girls’ game ended with the Junior Lady Bombers falling to the Lady Whirlwind 39-23. Addison McCarn led Mountain Home with 10 points. The Junior Lady Bombers wrap up the regular season and 3-13 overall and 2-8 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference. Mountain Home will travel to Jonesboro on Monday to face Annie Camp in their opener of the Northeast Arkansas District Tournament.
Mountain Home did not fare any beter in the freshman boys’ contest as they lost to Annie Camp 39-14. The Junior Bombers drop to 8-13, and they’ll host their first district tournament game Monday against West Memphis West.
Mountain Home’s lone win was in the junior varsity girls’ game as they beat Annie Camp 26-12. The Junior J.V. Lady Bombers were led by Alma Kent with 13 points. Mountain Home ends the year at 8-5.

On the high school level, Flippin’s boys had a rough day on their home floor. The Bobcats fell to West Fork 75-65.

Melbourne was able to pick up a sweep at Tuckerman. The Lady Bearkatz topped the Lady Bulldogs 60-45. Melbourne’s boys followed with a 58-53 win over Tuckerman.
